Shrey is one of the most revered personalities in the corridors of Cyntexa. He’s a hustler, a comrade, a trainer, and most importantly the vision behind the fastest-growing IT company in India. In addition to being a serial entrepreneur, Shrey has made a significant and profound impact on countless lives through his innovative ventures. This is an overview of his journey and his approach to breaking the set mold and making his mark.
Shrey comes from Jaipur and was born into a business family. Although he could have simply enjoyed the success of his family’s business, he decided to take a different path. The path where he was characterized by unwavering hard work and a determination to demonstrate his abilities.
Despite recognizing his academic strengths, he opted to conform to the popular path of studying math and related subjects. He studied the concepts of math and physics and got into the stream of computer sciences after graduating high school. In the initial few semesters, he did all the learning and coding necessary in his field. However, Shrey’s aspirations were anything but ordinary. His passion for technology led him to a formal training institute where he was first introduced to Salesforce while he was still in college.
Immensely fascinated by the CRM platform, Shrey excelled in his Salesforce training and started earning recognition from his instructors. This was also the time when he became the youngest Salesforce MVP, which was such a big achievement in itself. This early success led him to a role as a doubt-clearing faculty member at the very institute where he was a student, demonstrating his commitment to both learning and teaching.
Shrey’s natural inclination towards teaching was evident as he turned down lucrative offers from multinational corporations to focus on educating others about Salesforce. This dedication was the foundation of his first major venture, S2 Labs, a training institute he established in 2016. His vision was clear: to address the gap in technical education in Jaipur and provide a comprehensive learning experience for aspiring Salesforce professionals. The institute’s success in training over 100,000 individuals is a testament to Shrey’s unwavering dedication.
However, Shrey’s journey didn’t stop there. Faced with limitations in infrastructure and course feasibility, he began his YouTube journey on the channel Salesforce Hulk, which was designed to offer in-depth Salesforce training and insights. Starting from a modest setup in a small room, Shrey’s channel has grown to amass over 130,000 subscribers. His commitment to quality content and innovative formats ranged from having Q&As to hosting webinars. This demonstrated his ability to adapt and engage a global audience.
The success of Salesforce Hulk led Shrey to his next entrepreneurial endeavor, Cyntexa. founded in 2018 with a group of friends. Because one thing Shrey was clear about in life was that he had to start something of his own, people would often hear him say “khudka kuch toh kaam shuru karna hai”, and this was his calling. He started the company with complete bootstraps and minimal initial investments.
Shrey recalls his feelings at that moment, “It all started in a basement, just five friends with a dream. We had no fancy offices, no big budgets, just a shared passion and a whole lot of hustle. Every late night, every weekend, we poured our hearts into building our business.
We faced countless challenges, from technical glitches to financial setbacks. But with each hurdle we overcame, our determination grew stronger. It was a rollercoaster ride, filled with moments of doubt and moments of pure exhilaration. And when we finally saw our vision come to life, it was a feeling beyond words. It was like our basement dream has become a reality, and I’m eternally grateful for the journey that brought us here.”
Ever since then, Cyntexa has rapidly emerged as one of the fastest-growing tech startups in India. Under Shrey’s leadership, the company has seen a staggering 50-fold increase in revenue and a remarkable year-on-year growth rate of 200%. Cyntexa’s core mission is to bring the MNC work culture to Jaipur, allowing talented individuals to thrive without leaving their hometowns. He strongly believed that location shouldn’t be a barrier for any talented individual to miss out on an opportunity. Along with that he also empathized with individuals who had to leave their homes, dear family, and friends to go work in a MNC.
Shrey’s approach to hiring reflects his belief in nurturing talent. By offering opportunities to freshers and providing them with a platform to excel, he has cultivated a team of over 450 passionate professionals. This focus on people management and growth aligns with Cyntexa’s ethos and has contributed to its remarkable success.
After being asked about what he thinks has brought him to the place where he is currently he said, “When I started this company with just a handful of people, I thought I needed to be involved in every single detail. But as we’ve grown to over 400 employees, I’ve realized that the key to success is not doing everything myself, but leveraging the talents of others. Trusting my team has been crucial. I’ve learned to delegate tasks, empower my employees, and let them take ownership of their work. By investing in their growth and development, I’ve created a team that is capable of far more than I ever could be on my own.”
Shrey also gave the credit for his success so early on in life to a very excruciating factor which is luck. He acknowledges the fact very well that while hard work is undoubtedly a crucial ingredient in the success of any business, he believes that it’s not just about putting in the hours; it’s about being in the right place at the right time and capitalizing on opportunities that arise.
Of course, one cannot solely rely on luck. However, one must be prepared to seize those opportunities when they present themselves, and that requires a strong foundation of hard work, dedication, and strategic planning. It’s a delicate balance between effort and circumstance, and finding the right mix is essential for long-term success.
Reflecting on his journey, Shrey often refers to one of the most important lessons he had learned was that it’s not about replacing oneself, but replicating one’s skills in others. By teaching the team the strategies and techniques that had worked for him. This eventually helped him create a sustainable business that could continue to thrive even as he stepped back.
As the business strived to scale to new heights, he also adopted a new perspective on the saying ‘Put yourself out of the business before anyone else does it.’ Instead of seeing it as a threat, he viewed it as an opportunity to create a stronger, more resilient company. By building a team that could operate independently and effectively, the entrepreneur was ensuring that the business would continue to flourish long into the future.
