Our client is a leading merchandiser from Europe. They have a massive online retail business of mobile and accessories.

The client was using Salesforce Commerce Cloud to make the seamless shopping experience for their customers through omnichannel shopping capabilities across web, mobile, social and stores.

They wanted to increase their customer engagement by implementing Salesforce Marketing Cloud with Salesforce Commerce Cloud for the following reasons:

  • Managing Abandoned Carts – They were facing an increase in the number of abandoned carts, so they were looking for a way through which they can manage the abandoned carts and reach out to their customers through follow up emails.
  • Personalized Marketing Recommendations – They wanted to provide personalized recommendations to their customers on the basis of their interests and previous purchases so that they can remain engaged with them timely.
  • Shipping and Order Confirmation Emails – To give the customer complete insight about their order processing and delivery information they wanted to send them follow-up emails about their shipping and order confirmation details.

We implemented the following solution to overcome the above challenges for our client

  • Setup Marketing Cloud – We implemented the environment for them with the goal that they could easily store the data of their customers, orders and product information. We created users with the required permissions for them.
  • Connect Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Commerce Cloud – We then connected Salesforce Commerce Cloud to Salesforce Marketing Cloud using the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Connect. We implemented Collect.js in Commerce Cloud for tracking data. We performed the setup of SFTP in the marketing cloud to import the data in the marketing cloud.
  • Automations for data imports and segmentation – We implemented automation to import the data automatically at regular intervals from SFTP to marketing cloud and segment the target audience by applying some business logic according to their interests and products that they buy.
  • Personalized and entrancing email templates – We have created Personalized and entrancing templates for their campaigns by which customers will easily recall their purchase and this helps in maintaining brand awareness and in attracting more people to engage with us.
  • One to one Customer Journeys – We created one to one customer journeys so that we can engage with the customers at each possible touchpoint and can market them easily and helps them to be informed and assured about their orders and purchasing information.
