Overview
Teach For India is a movement of leaders working towards providing quality education for all children in the country. The initiative involves fellows who spend two years teaching low-income and under-resourced students and staff teams who provide strategic support and organizational direction.
At TFA, it is a belief that leadership for education is the solution to eradicate educational inequality in India.
Challenges
- Training and Development of Fellows: There was no direct interaction between volunteers, students, and teachers. It created difficulty in measuring the progress and status of each of them.
- Inability to Track Course Progress: Hiring from different territories made tracking the course progress of the fellows, which later expanded with the delayed evaluation of students’ progress.
- Need to Assess the Allocated Assets Health: All the fellows were allocated electronic gadgets like iPads, portable projectors, and laptops for conducting sessions. They needed an application to track those devices’ internal health and usage.
