Job Summary

As a Technical Content Writer, your role is to create high-quality, informative, and engaging content that communicates complex technical information in a clear and concise manner. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, developers, and other stakeholders to research, write, and edit SEO-friendly technical content for various platforms, including websites, blogs, documentation, social media pages, and more.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Technical Writing, Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent experience is preferable.
  • Proven work experience as a technical writer or in a similar role, preferably in a technical or software-related industry is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting in-depth research on industry-related topics in order to develop original content.
  • Gather information from subject-matter experts and develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.
  • Creating concise, eye-catching, SEO-friendly, and innovative content for multiple platforms (website, blogs, articles, social updates, LinkedIn, Slideshare, banners, portfolios, case studies, white papers, etc.)
  • Conducting keyword research and using SEO best practices to increase traffic to the company website.
  • Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement.
  • Creating compelling headlines and body copy that will capture the attention of the target audience.
  • Writing on a wide variety of topics for targeting a different audience.
  • Actively manage and promote our blog, and pitch articles to relevant third-party platforms.
  • Collaborate with the marketing or content team to develop content plans and strategies that align with business goals, target audience interests, and industry trends.
  • Analyze content marketing metrics and makes changes as needed.
  • Develop and maintain detailed databases of appropriate reference materials, including research, usability tests, and design specifications.
  • Provide engaging text and ideas to design images and diagrams for the content on social media, blogs, etc., that increase user understanding.
  • Introduce / Experiment with new copy and communication styles.
  • Proofread and formatted documents.

Key Skills Required

  • Excellent writing and editing skills with a strong command of grammar, punctuation, and writing styles.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and technical writing tools and different content posting channels like WordPress, Medium, Quora, Youtube, Instagram, LinkedIn, Slideshare, etc.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong research skills to gather information from various sources and validate technical details.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and ability to optimize content for search engines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of documentation standards, such as DITA, XML, or Markdown, is a plus.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand complex technical topics and understanding of the technical terms/jargon like cloud, database, server, etc, and the capability to explain the topic in the easiest way.
  • Firm understanding of Software Development Lifecycle & Agile.
