About the Company

Our esteemed client is a leading Insurance Company providing various insurance plans to its customers. They operate in the USA through multiple branches across the country.

They demanded an automated solution that could eliminate the need for manual commission calculations. Their employees get a commission at the end of the month, which depends on the targets the management sets. Each employee gets a different target depending upon the experience.

Challenges

Our client faced various challenges, among which calculating the commissions manually was the biggest one to cater. Calculating commission for every employee, that too manually, is a very time-consuming and tedious task. This restricts the team from making changes in the calculation formula and has a high chance of making errors. These errors also altered the actual commission of employees, and the results differed from the right calculations.

Moving further with challenges, the client faced the problem of re-evaluating the rules whenever there was any kind of alteration in the commission calculating criteria. This, too, used to consume a lot of time and effort of the team.

Additionally, the client wanted a solution with a feature in which they can see the performance of every employee over the last few years to compare and figure out how much they have improved or faced a downfall.

All these challenges and the manual payroll system led to frustration and overburdened the accounts as well as the HR department.
